BRANDING DESIGN FOR ESTUDIO AMARES
Branding 360 design
After a long career in the sector, Félix decided to create his own interior design studio. He commissioned us with the challenge of designing his branding, naming, corporate identity and website. For the development of its corporate identity, Felix had three things clear:
His study had to have a close treatment and show the experience of himself and his family, María, María and Marcos, are a fundamental pillar. Following the same line of closeness, Félix likes to express the naturalness of the materials in his work. Materials have a voice and a life of their own. In turn, the space is a habitable place that comes to life by itself.
Taking all this into account, we got down to work.
For the development of the naming, we started from the syllable, “sea”, which in Spanish mean “mar”, common in the name of María, María and Marcos, children and wife of Félix. From the combination of said syllable, “mar”, with “to love” (to the profession, to the subject, to the family) + “space” the name of ESTUDIO AMARES was born.
To conceptualize the idea, we focus on the figure of a pillar that, on the one hand, represents the base in the construction of a space and, on the other, refers to the three most important people for Félix: María, María and Marcos, its three fundamental pillars. For the construction of the logo, we chose the Kievit typeface, created by Mike Abbink in 2001. Its smooth and neutral appearance and, at the same time, versatile, made it ideal for AMARES. For the color palette, we chose black as the main color, accompanied by concrete gray and wood orange as secondary background colors.
The communication of AMARES had to continue transmitting the idea of a sober style and a naked naturalness of the materials. The graphic system built from the different elements allowed us to adapt to each application.
The work of ESTUDIO AMARES is purely visual and there is nothing that speaks better of it than their projects. To show it, they entrusted us with the complete design and development of their website. We set about it with the clear idea of trying to get visitors to immerse themselves in those spaces through the screen.
“Reflect each and every one of the ideas, nuances and details and… overcome them. That was the result, simply impressive!”
