BRANDING DESIGN FOR IT’S A TRAP

Fray and Loly, owners of the business, turned to Iber to design the branding for their second project in Dublin, with the strong conviction of giving the coffee & brunch concept a little more rogue and carefree touch.

IT’S A TRAP is elegance, but at the same time rebellion; It is calm and at the same time adrenaline. Thus, it is the energy necessary to start the day and, at the same time, the disconnection and relaxation after finishing your day.

Under this clear concept, they commissioned us to design their corporate identity.

BRAND IDENTITY

The name itself is a declaration of intent towards a game in which sarcasm is present. A trap that catches you and from which you will not want to escape. For this reason, the central letter “a” has been played with, which acts as a link to represent that concept of trap associated with the hook. In a way, we use sarcasm to convey to the customer that once you enter our world, what you drink and breathe in that room will catch you. Consequently, it will be an explosion in your mind so powerful that you will not want to leave it.

For the logo, the DROID typeface has been chosen, in the “unicase” style and created by Ray Larabie in 1996. Its extra condensation means that we can compact several words in a small space.

The pink color will be the protagonist and will give us that touch of energy. As a contrast, black and green will be the base colors.
